"When the court ordered supervised visits, we tried several providers over the first few weeks…the last one we tried Terri Christensen was assigned to the visit…she was head and shoulders above the earlier ones we had and so we kept her for 5 years!  The company she worked for changed owners a couple of times and then Terri started a new company Family Dynamics.  The people Terri selected to work with her were every bit as amazing as she was and so we were excited to continue using her team!

Terri and Family Dynamics were always responsive, punctual, and the pricing was always more than fair!

We highly recommend Terri and Family Dynamics!"

Common Questions

Home: FAQ

How should I prepare for my visit?

Depending on the location of the visit, bring along age appropriate activities, snacks, water (especially if outdoors in the summer) and sunscreen. Always make sure the location is going to be open for the duration of the visit. If the visit is at a park, it is a good idea to confirm that they have a restroom that will be open.

For very small children, pack a diaper bag with all essentials that your little one will need during the visit.

Can I have family members or my significant other attend the visit?

If approved by the custodial parent in writing beforehand, the family members may attend. Keep in mind that this time is crucial for the parent and child to build or maintain a healthy relationship so one on one time is also important.

Can we drive to multiple locations during the visit?

If approved by the custodial parent in writing beforehand, the non custodial parent can transport the monitor and children in their vehicle during the visit. The monitor will confirm that there are  required restraints in the vehicle, ie. seatbelts, carseats and booster seats.

Who is responsible for the monitor’s admission cost to a location when required?

The non custodial parent is responsible for the monitor’s admission, along with any other required costs such as parking, etc. The parent is not required to purchase meals for the monitor, but the monitor may do so if they choose.

What is to be avoided during visit and what will happen if it is not?

-Talking or asking questions about the custodial parent.

-Discussing any legal matters with the child.

-Making promises to the child.

-Anything that makes the child uncomfortable.

-Activities that do not enable the monitor to see and hear everything.

The monitor will intervene with any inappropriate behavior and if the behavior continues, will discontinue the visit and contact the custodial parent to pick up the child.

Do you supervise visits on holidays?

Yes! We supervise visits 365 days a year.
